Our verdict: the simplest unlimited deal around. One plan, unlimited 5G data, and a price that drops the longer you stay.
What we like
- Unlimited 5G data, calls and texts on one plan
- £15 a month, dropping to £14 from month 6 and £13 from month 12
- No contract, so you can cancel when you want
- No credit checks
- Chattr says there are no price hikes
Things to know
- Only one main plan, so there's nothing cheaper for light users
- Its travel SIM was still listed as "coming soon" when we checked
- Smaller brand than the big networks, with less in-store support
Price and plans
Chattr's Freedom One plan is the whole proposition: unlimited 5G data plus unlimited calls and texts for £15 a month. Stay six months and it drops to £14, and from month 12 it's £13. That loyalty discount is unusual: most networks put prices up over time, not down.
Contract and flexibility
There's no contract and no credit check, and you can keep your number when you switch. That makes it a low-risk way to try unlimited data. If it doesn't suit you, you can leave.
Coverage
Chattr advertises 99% UK 4G/5G coverage. As with any network, check coverage at your home and work postcode before you switch.
Who is Chattr best for?
Anyone who wants unlimited data at a low, predictable price without signing a contract, especially heavy users who stream on the go or use their phone as a hotspot. If you only use a few GB a month, a smaller plan from 1pMobile or Asda Mobile will be cheaper.
