Sri Lanka eSIM FAQs

How much data do I need for a week in Sri Lanka?

For maps, messaging and social media, 5–10GB is plenty for a week. If you'll stream video or use your phone as a hotspot, go for an unlimited plan where one is available.

Will I still get calls and texts on my UK number?

Yes. Keep your normal SIM switched on and you'll receive calls and texts as usual. Your UK network may charge for these abroad, so check their roaming rates.

Is an eSIM cheaper than roaming?

Usually, yes. UK networks often charge daily roaming fees outside Europe, while a travel eSIM is a single one-off payment for the whole trip.
